Cinestudy (cinestudy.org) presents a new EDIT THIS project. We provide all the footage, you get to download and edit – all free. This emulates the relationship between the director and the editor – in this case – YOU! We are providing the raw unedited footage and give you some direction on what we’re looking for and now it’s up to you to do the edits. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLejs_tSsZ9zGdXi3CQUNqBeNtsIaRz64L
In this project, it’s a podcast/documentary for the Sabo/Ross Experiment Podcast where we went to Ohio Renaissance Fair. We interviewed several people (with two cameras), shot B-Roll of the events and shows, and we recorded host segments. You can make your version as either an episode of the Podcast using the host segments as introductions and a close, or purely as a documentary on the Renaissance Fair. It’s up to you. We will be doing some review episodes where we watch your edits and give our notes.
You may upload your versions of the project on social media and anywhere you like, as long as you follow these simple rules – you have to use the hashtags #CINESTUDY #SONNYBOO and for this project #SABOROSS. You also have to use the complete credits, either on screen in your video or in the description. For this project the credits are as follows
Directed by Greg Sabo
Produced by Greg Sabo and Peter John Ross
A-Camera/Cinematography by Greg Sabo
B-Camera Operator – Peter John Ross

Hey, is it possible that the two camera angles are the same upload? They seem identical to me, same file lenght, same file size. Just diffrent file name.
LikeLike
It can appear that way at first since they have some of the same footage to “fill in” where the other camera started later. Check the synch and you’ll see that they show the two separate angles.

Thanks for providing this great resource, but the A roll and B roll are exactly the same. I’ve put them side by side.

Hi! This is literally the first edit I have ever made, so this project was a huge learning experience for me – cuts, structure, and working with audio from scratch. I chose the Renaissance Fair material because it felt like a fun challenge, and I’m really glad I did. Here is my version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vf7JjsRzGI7OT6e8zSh_UY45h9cs-QIJ/view?usp=drive_link
Any feedback is very welcome. Thank you for making this available for free!

This was my first edit I’ve ever done. I definitely need some improvement but I do think it looks pretty good. I am open to any advice. I really appreciate what you guys are doing.

They were shot with a higher frame rate so there could be slow motion.

I apologize for my English, maybe I expressed myself badly, but I wasn’t referring to the frame rate which is 23.976 but to the fact that within the file flow at a certain point the video and sound playback slows down by about 8 times, but only at one point of the video, not all of it, and this seems strange to me also because it corresponds to the part where you are eating.

Making the new comments appear at the top would mean everyone’s new edits get views and feedback because they get missed if you have to scroll to the bottom 🙂 Love the website and these practice edits you put out. Will be trying some when the weekend rolls around

Hey I’m getting errors when trying to download some of the files. It’s telling me that it has reached a quota and I am unable to download it. It seems like it has reached a quota on your end.

We are doing this out of pocket and need some fiscal support to get the storage and bandwidth improved. So until that quota resets, not a lot we can do with no money.
